The Foundations of Reading Test, also known as the FoRT, is designed to assess a teacher’s proficiency and depth of understanding of students’ reading and writing development. Milwaukee Teacher Education Center offers two, half-day Saturday workshops to help you prepare for this test. Key Components covered in the workshop include, phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and fluency.
